Hopkins serves as Associate Chief Medical Officer and Senior Medical Director for Quality at Stanford Health Care, while holding the position of Clinical Professor of Medicine in Primary Care & Population Health at Stanford University School of Medicine. His expertise spans quality improvement, leadership development, and physician professionalism, and he frequently speaks at national conferences on these topics. Dr. Hopkins has made significant contributions to healthcare leadership through his work in developing physician-nurse partnerships, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and directing the Stanford Breakthrough Collaborative on Access and Operational Excellence in Clinics, while his research work has been extensively cited in medical literature, particularly in studies focusing on professionalism in medical services and patient outcomes.
