Tomàs Molina i Bosch is a prominent Catalan meteorologist and television presenter, currently affiliated with the Universitat de Barcelona. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences, specializing in geoscience and cosmology, and has a doctorate in Communication. With over 30 years of experience as the weather broadcaster for Televisió de Catalunya, he has directed its meteorological department since 1987. In addition to his media work, Molina is an associate professor at his alma mater, teaching weather forecasting and contributing to various academic initiatives. He has published multiple books on meteorology and actively engages in public outreach as a European Climate Pact Ambassador. His courses include Strategies for Winning: Meteorology in a Round-the-World Regatta (available in both English and Spanish), where he combines his expertise in meteorology with practical applications in competitive sailing. Molina's commitment to climate issues has also led him to pursue a political career, recently announcing his candidacy for the European Parliament representing the Republican Left of Catalonia.
