Renowned Expert in Semiconductor Materials and Educational Innovation
Graduate in Physics (1977), PhD in Physical Sciences (1982) from the University of Barcelona and Docteur d'etat ès-sciences (1983) from the Université Paul Sabatier. Professor in the Department of Electronics at the UB since 1990. Coordinator of the Teaching Improvement and Innovation Programme (PMID) at the University of Barcelona since 2008, coordinator of the research group recognised by the Generalitat de Catalunya (MIND) since 2009 and Director of the Department of Electronics since 2005. Member of the teaching innovation group e-LINDO since 2004. He has published more than 200 articles in international scientific journals, presented more than 300 communications at international conferences, supervised 6 doctoral theses, and has been principal investigator of numerous national and international research projects. His field of expertise is the structural, electrical and optical characterization of semiconductor materials, applied to the solution of specific problems in advanced materials science and sensor devices.
