Sergio Villanueva Baselga

Sergio Villanueva Baselga is an Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona in the Faculty of Information and Audiovisual Media. He holds a Ph.D. in Communication and Information Studies from the University of Barcelona. His research centers on participatory filmmaking as a means of social change, exploring participatory video, citizen and community media, science communication, and gender studies through a multidisciplinary approach. He also examines how media and culture shape social determinants of health, stigma narratives, and collective identities.
