Richard Wittman

Richard Wittman serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in Stanford University's Department of Medicine and Medical Director of Stanford University and SLAC National Accelerator Lab Occupational Health Centers. After completing his medical education at Tufts Medical Center and earning his MPH, he has built an impressive career focusing on occupational and environmental medicine. As Medical Director, he oversees healthcare delivery for nearly 20,000 employees and graduate researchers, specializing in treating and preventing work-related injuries with particular emphasis on repetitive stress conditions in both industrial and office environments. His expertise spans medical acupuncture, musculoskeletal medicine, and occupational health, while his innovative approach combines technology with therapeutic modalities to enhance patient education and injury care. Through his leadership at Stanford's Occupational Health Center and his role in the Department of Environmental Health & Safety, he continues to advance workplace health and safety while developing comprehensive injury prevention and treatment programs.
