The International Monetary FundPaul Dempsey is an IMF Revenue Administration Expert with extensive experience in public sector reform and tax administration. After serving nearly 40 years in the Irish Revenue Administration, where he retired as Assistant Secretary General and Accountant General, he transitioned to working with the IMF's Fiscal Affairs Department as a short-term expert. In this role, he has participated in numerous capacity development missions across Asia and Europe, contributing his expertise to various tax administration reform projects. His academic credentials include an M.Sc. in Innovation Management in the Public Sector from the University of Ulster and Letterkenny Institute of Technology, and a BA in Public Administration from the Institute of Public Administration in Dublin. Dempsey currently serves as an instructor for the VITARA program, a joint initiative by international organizations including the IMF, CIAT, IOTA, and OECD, where he shares his knowledge on tax administration reforms and public sector management
