About Me

Martin Tomitsch is a Professor at the University of Sydney's School of Architecture, Design, and Planning, where he also serves as the Director of Innovation in the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Office (Education). As a founding member of both the Media Architecture Institute and the Life-centred Design Collective, he is a passionate advocate for leveraging design to envision speculative futures and inspire positive change within organizations. His influential works include "Design Think Make Break Repeat – A Handbook of Methods" (BIS) and "Making Cities Smarter – Designing Interactive Urban Applications" (Jovis), showcasing his commitment to innovative design practices that enhance urban living and foster creativity. Through his research and teaching, Martin continues to shape the dialogue around design's transformative potential in today's world.
