Lucy Yang

Lucy Yang is a Managing Partner at Identity Woman in Business, where she collaborates with Kaliya Young to provide strategic consulting on decentralized identity solutions. Her career spans multiple leadership roles in technology innovation and digital trust infrastructure. As the former Community Director of the COVID Credentials Initiative and project initiator of the Global COVID Certificate Network (GCCN) at Linux Foundation Public Health, Yang led groundbreaking work in developing decentralized federation architectures for health credentials. Currently, she consults with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where she leads the evolution of GCCN into the Regi-TRUST project, a comprehensive digital trust infrastructure supporting initiatives like the WHO Global Digital Health Certification Network. Yang's expertise extends to various technology sectors, including edtech, health tech, blockchain, and personal data management. She co-founded MyData Canada and served on the board of MyData Global, demonstrating her commitment to personal data rights and privacy. Yang holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and a Master's degree in Educational Anthropology from China, combining business acumen with anthropological insights in her approach to digital identity solutions.
