Ashish Jha

Dr. Ashish K. Jha currently serves as Dean of the Brown University School of Public Health, following his role as White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator under President Biden and Director of the Harvard Global Health Institute. His distinguished career spans clinical practice, research, and public policy, combining his roles as a practicing internist at the VA Boston Healthcare System with academic leadership. After receiving his MD from Harvard Medical School and MPH from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, he has become one of America's most cited researchers with over 300 publications in leading journals. His research focuses on improving healthcare quality and costs, particularly examining policy impacts on healthcare delivery systems. As White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator, he led crucial initiatives in vaccine development, testing infrastructure, and pandemic preparedness. His expertise in healthcare policy, quality improvement, and global health has been recognized through numerous appointments, including membership in the Institute of Medicine at the National Academies.
