Anna Newton-Levinson

Dr. Anna Newton-Levinson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics and the Department of Behavioral, Social, and Health Education Sciences at Emory University. She is affiliated with the Center for Reproductive Health Research in the Southeast (RISE). Dr. Newton-Levinson's research focuses on advancing equitable access to sexual and reproductive health services through community-engaged approaches, emphasizing the reduction of disparities in access to care and health outcomes related to STIs, contraception, maternal health, and abortion. She has previously worked with organizations such as UCSF, CARE, and the CDC. Dr. Newton-Levinson holds a BA from UC Berkeley, an MPH from Emory University, and a PhD from Emory University, where she also completed a postdoctoral fellowship. Additionally, she teaches an online course titled "Public Health Approaches to Abortion" on Coursera, reflecting her commitment to educating others on critical public health issues.
