Adam C. Powell, Ph.D., is the President of Payer+Provider Syndicate, a consulting firm specializing in managed care and healthcare delivery. As a healthcare economist, Dr. Powell uses quantitative techniques to address issues related to healthcare technology, quality, and operations. His peer-reviewed research has focused on mHealth and high-cost medical care areas, while his extensive expertise in global health informatics has led to numerous lectures across Asia. In addition to his role at Payer+Provider, he is a Senior Partner at SSB Solutions and serves on editorial boards for Discover Health Systems and Journal of Participatory Medicine. Dr. Powell co-founded the Society for Digital Mental Health, driven by his interest in mental health apps. Holding advanced degrees from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, he also teaches health economics, supply chain operations, and global health informatics at Northeastern University, Thomas Jefferson University, and the Indian School of Business. Dr. Powell's thought leadership has been featured in over 200 media outlets, including JAMA, CNN, Forbes, and NPR.
