Prof. (Dr.) Vivek U. Padvetnaya is a trained medical doctor and serves as a Professor and Associate Dean at the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy. He earned his M.B.B.S. from the University of Mysore, a Diploma in Business Management from ICFAI University, an M.Sc. in Health Policy, Planning, and Financing from the London School of Economics and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and a D.Phil. in Public Health (Political-Economy) from the University of Oxford. Before joining JSGP, he was an associate professor at the Public Health Foundation of India and has extensive experience in development management. His research focuses on improving public health services for underserved populations by addressing various barriers to access.
