Professor Jay Misra has been a pivotal member of the Amrita School of Business since 2004, currently serving as the Co-Director of the Amrita Center for Sustainable Future. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, awarded in 1982, and has a dual B.S. and M.S. in Engineering/Operations Research with honors from the University of Pittsburgh, USA. His strong interest in mathematics led him to pursue college-level mathematics courses after completing the 10th grade. In addition to his academic roles, Professor Misra is deeply committed to social causes, particularly in serving underprivileged communities in India and around the world. His work aligns with the mission of various humanitarian initiatives, as evidenced by his involvement with organizations such as Embracing the World. His contributions to academia and society reflect a dedication to both education and community service. Prof. Raghu Raman serves as the Dean of the School of Business and the Director of the Center for Accreditations, Rankings & Eminence at Amrita University. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from the Amrita School of Business and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. Additionally, he has a Master’s in Computer Applications from Jawaharlal Nehru University and a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics (Honours) from the University of Delhi, where he was honored with the President of India Gold Medal. With over 30 years of experience in executive management roles at Fortune 500 companies, he has made significant contributions to academia and industry alike. Prof. Raman established the Center for Research in Analytics & Technologies for Education (CREATE), securing over $5 million in research funding and publishing more than 60 peer-reviewed articles. He previously served as CEO of Amrita Technologies and as Executive Director at Informix/IBM.
