His strong interest in mathematics led him to pursue college-level mathematics courses after completing the 10th grade. In addition to his academic roles, Professor Misra is deeply committed to social causes, particularly in serving underprivileged communities in India and around the world. His work aligns with the mission of various humanitarian initiatives, as evidenced by his involvement with organizations such as Embracing the World. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from the Amrita School of Business and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. Additionally, he has a Master’s in Computer Applications from Jawaharlal Nehru University and a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics (Honours) from the University of Delhi, where he was honored with the President of India Gold Medal. With over 30 years of experience in executive management roles at Fortune 500 companies, he has made significant contributions to academia and industry alike. Prof. Raman established the Center for Research in Analytics & Technologies for Education (CREATE), securing over $5 million in research funding and publishing more than 60 peer-reviewed articles. He previously served as CEO of Amrita Technologies and as Executive Director at Informix/IBM.
