Dr. David Michael Rosch serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he has established himself as a leading authority in leadership education and development. His academic credentials include a PhD in Higher Education from Syracuse University, an MS in Student Affairs from Colorado State University, and a BS in Psychology from Binghamton University. As ALEC Program Director (2018-2022), he has consistently earned recognition on the university's "Instructors Ranked as Excellent" list. His current roles include Editor of the Journal of Campus Activities Practice and Scholarship and co-editor of the "Contemporary Issues in Leadership Development" book series. His contributions to the field earned him the inaugural Distinguished Scholar Award from the Association of Leadership Educators in 2016. Through his course "Managing Professional Work Teams" on Coursera and his position as Senior Research Fellow for the Collegiate Leadership Competition, he continues to advance leadership education while maintaining active involvement in professional organizations including the International Leadership Association. His research focuses on the effectiveness of leadership training initiatives and professional organizational development.
