María del Pilar Ángeles is a full-time professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Heriot-Watt University in 2007 and has since accumulated over 26 years of experience in the field. Prior to her academic career, she worked as a Technical Support Engineer for several database software providers, including Software AG and Sybase de Mexico. Her research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including Quality in Software Engineering, Master Data Management, Big Data, NoSQL, In-memory databases, Data Mining, Data Quality, Data matching, and Data Provenance.At UNAM, María del Pilar teaches various courses related to data management and database systems.
