María del Pilar Ángeles is a full-time professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Heriot-Watt University in 2007 and has since accumulated over 26 years of experience in the field.
