Christopher Sharp has established himself as a transformative figure in healthcare technology as Chief Medical Information Officer at Stanford Health Care and Clinical Professor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine. After completing his medical education at Dartmouth Medical School and residency at Stanford, where he earned recognition for excellence in patient care and professionalism, he has built an impressive career combining clinical practice with technological innovation. Since joining Stanford's faculty in 2002, he has advanced through various leadership roles, including Medical Director for Clinical Informatics and Associate CMIO, before assuming his current position as CMIO in 2013. In this role, he drives Stanford Health Care's clinical technology strategy, focusing on enhancing electronic health record systems, digital health initiatives, and workflow optimization. While maintaining an active internal medicine practice, he has contributed significantly to academic research on clinical informatics' impact on healthcare delivery, safety, and physician wellness. Natalie Pageler serves as the Chief Medical Information Officer at Stanford Children's Health and Clinical Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, where she has established herself as a leading figure in pediatric critical care and clinical informatics. After completing her medical education at Stanford and fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care, she earned her Master's in Medical Education from the University of Cincinnati, focusing on clinical decision support systems. As one of the nation's first board-certified clinical informaticists, she has pioneered the development of innovative digital health solutions and clinical decision support tools that enhance patient safety and care quality. Her leadership extends to academic medicine, where she co-founded and directs Stanford's Clinical Informatics Fellowship program, one of the first ACGME-accredited fellowships in the nation. Through her administrative role, she oversees the development and maintenance of clinical decision support tools within electronic medical records, while her research evaluates how these tools impact clinician behavior and healthcare delivery outcomes. Her current teaching portfolio includes directing graduate research, medical scholars research, and undergraduate directed reading programs at Stanford, while also chairing the national Community of Clinical Informatics Program Directors.
