Francesca Romana Rinaldi is a distinguished academic and sustainability expert serving as the Director of the Monitor for Circular Fashion and core faculty member at SDA Bocconi School of Management. Her significant contributions to sustainable fashion are evident through her authored works, including "Fashion Industry 2030" (2019), "L'Impresa Moda Responsabile" (2013, 2022), "The Responsible Fashion Company" (2014), and the forthcoming "Circular Fashion Management" (2024). At SDA Bocconi, she leads crucial courses including "Managing Sustainability in Fashion" at MAFED and "Fashion Collections and Sustainability" at Bocconi University. Her expertise extends beyond academia into executive consulting, where she advises companies and institutions on sustainability, circularity, traceability, transparency, and business model innovation. Her notable consulting projects include significant work with UNECE on enhancing transparency in the garment and footwear industry, and collaboration with the European Commission DG GROW on the Textiles Transition Pathway Co-creation Strategy.
