Dr. Freddie Page serves as the Strategic Teaching Fellow in the Dyson School of Design Engineering at Imperial College London. He earned his MPhys from the University of Oxford in 2011 and completed his PhD in theoretical nanophotonics at Imperial College London in 2016. His research focuses on designing materials capable of slowing light to a complete stop and exploring the interactions of light with sheets of graphene far from thermal equilibrium.

Prof. Alex Bottle is a Professor in Medical Statistics and co-director of the Dr Foster Unit at Imperial College London. His research is centered on measuring and understanding variations in healthcare quality and safety through the use of large databases. In addition to his research, Prof. Bottle teaches across various undergraduate and postgraduate programs, supervises and examines PhD students in fields such as surgery, cardiovascular risk, and digital health, and provides statistical training to the UK public sector.

Dr. Benny Lo holds a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, an MSc in Computer Vision from King's College London, and a PhD in Computing from Imperial College London. He is a Senior Lecturer at the Hamlyn Centre for Robotic Surgery at Imperial College London and chairs the IEEE EMB Technical Committee on Wearable Biomedical Sensors and Systems. With a focus on body sensor networks, AI, and biomedical engineering, he has published over 200 research articles and earned multiple awards for his innovative work, including Bluetooth Innovator of the Year.

After earning her medical degree from Cambridge University in 2002, she gained extensive clinical experience across various specialties, including general medicine, pediatric surgery, emergency medicine, anesthetics, and clinical microbiology. She later completed a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and received a PhD in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2011. Prior to joining Imperial, she worked as a Consultant in Public Health Medicine for Local Government, the NHS, and Public Health England, following specialist public health training.

Chris leads the Public Health Policy Evaluation Unit at Imperial College London and serves as the principal investigator for the university’s involvement in the National School for Public Health Research. His research primarily focuses on evaluating public health policies, with a special emphasis on addressing health inequalities. His work increasingly centers on assessing strategies to prevent and manage non-communicable diseases, particularly in middle-income countries like India and Brazil.

David Dye is a Professor of Metallurgy in the Department of Materials, specializing in the development of alloys for jet engines, nuclear applications, and caloric materials aimed at reducing fuel consumption and preventing in-service failures. His work involves advanced crystallography, utilizing techniques such as neutron and synchrotron X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy at the atomic scale. The large datasets generated by these techniques present complex data analysis challenges. David earned his PhD and undergraduate degrees from Cambridge University in 1997 and 2000, respectively, and joined Imperial College London in 2003. He also teaches introductory mathematics, with a focus on errors and data analysis, and has been recognized with student-led awards for his innovative teaching methods.

Dr. Matthew Harris (DPhil MBBS MSc PGCE FFPH) is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Public Health, holding a joint appointment between the Department of Primary Care and Public Health and the Institute of Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London. He also serves as an Honorary Consultant in Public Health Medicine with the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. As co-Director of the on-site Masters in Public Health, he leads the Global Health Challenges and Global Health Innovations modules. His research focuses on global health, innovation diffusion, and health services, with a particular emphasis on Reverse Innovation—adopting cost-effective healthcare technologies from low-income countries. His contributions in this field have earned him a Harkness Fellowship from the US Commonwealth Fund and an Imperial College President's Excellence Award in Teaching and Learning.

Dr. Sondus Hassounah is a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Department of Primary Care & Public Health at Imperial College London, where she focuses on health workforce capacity through training and education, as well as health system strengthening research. With a clinical background, she trained in Medicine at Cairo University and gained experience in medical oncology, harm reduction for HIV-prone communities, and tuberculosis. Dr. Hassounah earned her Master in Public Health (MPH) from Imperial College London in 2012 and became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2016. At Imperial's School of Public Health, she designs and delivers health workforce capacity-building programs for BSc and Master in Public Health students, as well as short courses for global cohorts and the Health Systems Development Specialization for the Global Master in Public Health. Her research interests include health policy and systems research, with a particular focus on the health workforce. Dr. Hassounah's project portfolio features collaborations with national governments, academic institutions, NGOs, the World Health Organization (EMRO and EURO), the World Bank, and Public Health England.

Dr. Arti Maini serves as the Coaching Lead for the Medical Education Innovation and Research Centre (MEdIC) and Deputy Director for Undergraduate Primary Care Education at Imperial College London. A practicing GP and educator in London, she holds a master's in medical education, along with degrees in medicine and clinical neuroscience. Dr. Maini is an experienced, accredited coach, coach trainer, and supervisor, as well as a Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). She conducts training courses for medical students and clinicians and serves as a coach for NHS professionals through the NHS London Leadership Academy. Additionally, she is on the faculty of the Coaching Supervision Academy and is an active member of the Imperial Coaching Academy. Her education and research interests include coaching for health, education, well-being, leadership, person-centered care, and capacity building. Dr. Maini integrates coaching approaches into her clinical practice and is co-author of the acclaimed book Coaching for Health: Why It Works and How to Do It. In recognition of her contributions to teaching, she was awarded the Imperial President’s Medal in 2019 for her efforts in fostering a coaching culture at Imperial. The award-winning Undergraduate Primary Care Education team she co-leads received the national AdvanceHE CATE Excellence in Education award in 2018 and the Imperial President’s Award for Societal Engagement in 2019.

Dr. Richard qualified as a doctor at Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ School of Medicine in London and completed his Master of Public Health (MPH) at Imperial College London, followed by higher specialty training in public health medicine. He has held a diverse array of roles across academia, health services, government, and the commercial sector. Currently, he serves as the Director of Undergraduate Public Health Education at Imperial College London and works as a Consultant in Public Health Medicine in London, UK. His special interests include health systems and the application of data science to address real-world challenges. Dr. Richard is also a Fellow of the UK Faculty of Public Health and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London.

Kevin Webster is a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Department of Mathematics at Imperial College London, where he earned his PhD in dynamical systems in 2003. His research focuses on integrating machine learning techniques with numerical approximation challenges in dynamical systems, as well as leveraging machine learning and deep learning models for music applications, including music generation and listening. Notably, he developed the core AI for the commercial music audio search engine Figaro.

Dr. Filippos Filippidis is a Senior Lecturer in Public Health within the Department of Primary Care and Public Health at Imperial College, where he also serves as co-Director of the Master of Public Health program. He studied Medicine and Health Promotion and Education at the University of Athens, Greece, and earned an MPH from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, specializing in Quantitative Methods. His PhD thesis examined the impact of the recent economic crisis on the epidemiology of obesity, smoking, diet, and physical activity. Currently, his research centers on the epidemiology of tobacco use and the assessment of tobacco control policies across Europe and beyond. Passionate about education, he holds a PG Diploma in University Learning and Teaching and has taught Epidemiology at Imperial College and various higher education institutions in Greece for several years.

She is a Professor of Public Health at Imperial College London, bringing three decades of experience in research, education, and applied public health, with a particular emphasis on the epidemiology and control of sexually transmitted infections and HIV. Currently, she serves as the Director of Education in the School of Public Health and co-Director of the Global Master of Public Health online degree program.

Dr. James Kinross is a faculty member at Imperial College London who teaches the course "XR in Healthcare Education and Clinical Practice." Prof. John Tregoning is a Professor of Vaccine Immunology at Imperial College London, where he has dedicated over 20 years to studying immune responses to vaccination and respiratory infections. He has authored 75 peer-reviewed scientific articles and 50 pieces on scientific careers for prestigious publications such as Nature, Science, and Times Higher Education. John is also the author of the forthcoming book Live Forever? The Curious Scientist’s Guide to Wellness, Disease and Ageing, set to be released in January 2025. Additionally, he published Infectious: Pathogens and How We Fight Them (OneWorld), which explores the history and science of infectious diseases.

Katharina Hauck is a Professor in Health Economics at the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at Imperial College London and serves as the deputy director of the Jameel Institute. She specializes in the economics of infectious diseases and the economic evaluation of complex public health interventions. Her research interests include the economics of HIV/AIDS, health system strengthening, priority setting, cost-effectiveness analysis, the economic impact of epidemics, and the influence of individual behavior on infectious disease transmission.

Marc Deisenroth is a Lecturer (equivalent to an Assistant Professor in the US) in Statistical Machine Learning at the Department of Computing at Imperial College London. He has held prominent roles such as Program Chair of EWRL 2012 and Workshops Chair of RSS 2013, and he has received Best Paper Awards at ICRA 2014 and ICCAS 2016. As a recipient of a Google Faculty Research Award and a Microsoft PhD Scholarship, Marc's research interests focus on data-efficient and autonomous machine learning.

Anthony is a Lecturer in Public Health at Imperial College London, specializing in the health impacts of transportation, tobacco control, and how economic downturns affect dietary habits. He leads a research initiative funded by the NIHR School for Public Health Research, focusing on the potential health effects of road user charging in England. As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, he also explores broader policy evaluations using secondary data.
