Yi, an Associate Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), is a distinguished theoretical physicist specializing in the early universe, dark energy, and black holes. With over 90 publications in leading physics journals such as Physics Reports and Physical Review Letters, he has made significant contributions to the field. Yi's achievements have earned him the Early Career Award from the Research Grant Council of Hong Kong SAR and the Excellent Young Scientist Scheme support from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Renowned for his teaching excellence, he has been honored with the School of Science Teaching Award at HKUST and recognized as “the teacher I like” by his students.
