Xavier Lagrange

Xavier Lagrange serves as Professor at IMT Atlantique and heads the ADOPNET research group at IRISA, bringing over three decades of expertise in wireless communications. After earning his Engineering Degree from Ecole Centrale Paris in 1984 and PhD from TELECOM Paristech in 1998, he built a distinguished career including roles at Alcatel Radiotelephone and leadership of the Networks, Security and Multimedia Department at TELECOM Bretagne. His research focuses on resource allocation, medium access control, and performance analysis for 4G/5G cellular networks, hybrid networks, and LPWAN systems. His impact includes authoring several influential French textbooks on wireless networks, supervising numerous PhD students, and contributing to major advances in mobile network technologies. As a senior IEEE member, he continues to advance the field through research on IoT networks, mobile relays for public transportation, and 5G radio access networks, while maintaining active involvement in both academic publication and practical network optimization
