William Addiss (aka Bill Addiss)

William (Bill) Addiss serves as Principal/Owner of Amherst Financial Training and faculty member at Fitch Learning, where he has been revolutionizing financial education since 1999. After earning his BS in Finance from Fairfield University and completing Securities Industry certification at the Wharton School, he built a distinguished 23-year career at Lehman Brothers, rising to Managing Director/EVP and National Sales Manager for Fixed Income. His expertise spans fixed income securities, capital markets, derivatives, portfolio management, and options trading. Through AFT, he has developed specialized training programs for major institutions including BlackRock, Citibank, Kuwait Investment Authority, SEC, CIA, and FINRA, successfully training thousands of professionals across Wall Street, Asset Management, and Financial Intermediaries. His programs extend beyond traditional finance roles to serve IT professionals, customer support staff, and middle/back office personnel. Through his ongoing roles in financial education and industry training, he continues to shape market knowledge while bridging theoretical concepts with practical applications.
