Veronica Olivotto is pursuing her PhD in Public and Urban Policy at the New School of New York, bringing her expertise as a researcher, consultant, and educator focused on urban climate change adaptation governance and the dynamics of urban risk, vulnerability, and resilience in informal settlements and broader urban environments. She has delivered high-profile climate change decision-making training for organizations including ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, Arcadis, and the Nederlandseorganisatie voor internationalisering in het hoger onderwijs (NUFFIC), while serving as a member of the Urban Climate Change Research Network (UCCRN) and coordinating author for the Housing and Informal Settlements chapter in the Second Assessment Report on Climate Change and Cities.
