Thomas Johnson

Dr. Thomas Johnson is an Adjunct Industry Professor in the Information Technology and Management program at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He holds a Master of Information Technology and Management from Illinois Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Science from Utah Valley University. His research interests encompass security in virtualized environments, disaster recovery, business continuity, incident response, IT governance, and risk management. Dr. Johnson has extensive professional experience, having served as an Information Technology Manager and Director of Information Security in various organizations. He is actively involved in professional affiliations, including the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) and ISACA. Additionally, he contributes to the field through publications, such as a chapter in the "Information Security Management Handbook," and teaches courses related to cybersecurity management and cloud infrastructure on Coursera.
