Subra Ananthram

Dr. Subra Ananthram serves as Dean of Learning and Teaching for the Faculty of Business and Law and Associate Professor of International Business and Innovation at Curtin University. Through his teaching and research, he helps students understand international business dynamics and entrepreneurial innovation. His expertise spans social enterprises, frugal innovation, and international business strategy. As a Fellow of the Curtin Academy and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), he has won multiple awards for designing engaging courses across various delivery modes and global campuses. His previous leadership roles include Discipline Lead of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Strategy and International Business (2021-22) and Course Lead for several undergraduate and postgraduate programs including the Master of International Business & Entrepreneurship. His research focuses on institutional perspectives of business practices, particularly in emerging markets, with significant publications examining religion-based decision making in Indian multinationals and frugal innovation practices. As lead academic facilitator for the Curtin Ignition program, he continues to shape entrepreneurship education while maintaining active involvement in both research and teaching excellence
