Subas Dhakal

Dr. Subas Dhakal serves as a lecturer at Curtin University, where he brings his extensive expertise in sustainable development and environmental conservation to bear on critical global challenges. His academic journey includes a significant postdoctoral fellowship under the federally funded CRN program, conducted jointly between Southern Cross University and the University of Queensland. Dhakal's professional background encompasses valuable experience with various integrated conservation and development projects in South Asia, including collaborations with the United Nations and WWF. His research portfolio covers a broad spectrum of interconnected fields, including Corporate Social Responsibility, disaster governance, environmental non-profits, green employment and skills development, social entrepreneurship, and sustainable tourism, with a particular focus on South Asia, Asia, and the Pacific regions. His work bridges the gap between academic research and practical implementation, contributing to both theoretical understanding and real-world solutions in sustainable development. Through his teaching and research at Curtin University, he continues to advance knowledge in environmental conservation and sustainable development practices while preparing the next generation of environmental professionals
