Prof. Stephan Eliez is a pediatric psychiatrist and Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Geneva. After completing his medical training in Geneva, he specialized in neuroscience at Stanford University from 1997 to 2001. His research integrates traditional clinical research with multidisciplinary methodologies in genetics, cognitive neuroscience, and neuroimaging, focusing on understanding the development of neurodevelopmental disorders such as schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorders. He is an expert on the 22q11.2 microdeletion syndrome and directs the Pôle Autisme Foundation, actively engaging with Swiss and European family associations related to developmental disabilities. Prof. Eliez served as president of the European Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (ESCAP) from 2015 to 2019 and currently co-chairs the Swiss Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy. He teaches courses including "A Life with ADHD" and various courses on autism spectrum disorders in French.
