Silvia Carrasco is a full professor of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, specializing in migrations, education, and inequalities. She is the founder of EMIGRA and CER Migraciones, focusing her research on critical issues such as early school leaving, social exclusion risks, and the socialization of girls from Muslim families. Her work also addresses the education and social rights of migrant and refugee minors in the MENAT region (Middle East, Northern Africa, and Turkey) and the EU through various initiatives, including ACT.NOW-DESC, Erasmus+, and Save The Children.
