The National University of SingaporeDr. Shijia Hu is a Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry at the National University Centre for Oral Health and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, National University of Singapore, where he serves as the undergraduate module coordinator for paediatric dentistry. His academic journey includes graduating as Valedictorian from NUS Faculty of Dentistry in 2008, followed by completing his residency in Pediatric dentistry and earning a PhD in Oral Biology from the University of North Carolina through the NUS overseas graduate scholarship. Dr. Hu's expertise is validated by his dual board certification from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the Specialist Accreditation Board (Singapore). As President of the Society of Paediatric Dentistry Singapore and an international consultant for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry's scientific committee, he demonstrates leadership in his field. His research interests encompass early childhood caries, oral microbiome, and dental materials, while his clinical focus includes special needs dentistry.
