Shanta E. Kapadia has been a faculty member in the Section of Anatomy at the Yale University School of Medicine since 1975. She completed her medical education at the Christian Medical College in Vellore, India, earning her M.B.B.S., which is equivalent to an M.D. in the United States. Dr. Kapadia developed a passion for anatomy and teaching early in her medical career, leading her to pursue graduate training and obtain a Master of Surgery degree in Anatomy.At Yale, she has taught gross anatomy and microscopic anatomy to thousands of medical students and Physician Associate students since the inception of the Physician Associate Program. Dr. Kapadia is highly regarded for her teaching excellence, having received numerous awards for her mentorship and educational contributions.
