Shane Casey is a dedicated sustainability professional specializing in transit-oriented development and urban resilience. As a graduate of the Masters of the Environment program at the University of Colorado Boulder, he focuses on creating livable and affordable communities that prioritize accessibility through walking, biking, and public transit. His diverse professional experience encompasses various sectors within sustainability and community development, showcasing his commitment to fostering resilient urban environments.During his time at CU Boulder, Casey served as a Graduate Student Assistant, where he managed programming and events for the Urban Resilience & Sustainability specialization. He also played a pivotal role in producing "The Sustainable City" podcast, engaging with leading sustainability experts and reaching a broad audience. Additionally, in collaboration with the Boulder County Housing Authority, he consulted on strategies for resilience and community engagement following disasters, contributing to research on affordable housing and wildfire resilience. His involvement with the Transformations Community further highlights his dedication to systemic change in sustainability practices.
