Sebastian Buckup

Sebastian Buckup is a visiting professor at the University of Geneva and a seasoned executive with over 15 years of experience in leading high-performing interdisciplinary teams across global offices, including Geneva, New York, Beijing, and San Francisco. He currently heads the World Economic Forum's Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Affiliate Network, where he focuses on shaping policies and strategies that address the challenges and opportunities presented by emerging technologies. Previously, he played a key role in organizing the World Economic Forum's Annual Meetings in Davos and China, as well as managing its global expert communities. A certified facilitator and public speaker, Buckup is a regular commentator on critical issues at the intersection of technology, society, and the economy. His academic contributions extend to his roles as Professor of Practice at both the University of Geneva and the Technical University of Munich, where he shares his insights on contemporary challenges in technology and its societal impacts.
