Roman Jaster

Roman Jaster is a prominent graphic designer and educator based in Los Angeles, known for his dynamic contributions to the field of design. As the co-founder of Yay Brigade, a creative design studio, he specializes in web and book design, often collaborating with cultural organizations and artists. A graduate of the CalArts graphic design program in 2007, Roman has returned to his alma mater as an instructor, where he teaches advanced web design classes. He is also the visionary behind the CalArts Design Almanac, a comprehensive online resource that chronicles the history of the CalArts Graphic Design department, showcasing its alumni and faculty. Beyond his professional endeavors, Roman enjoys baking artisan bread and cherishes time spent with his two pet rodents, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life.
