Reid Patterson

Reid Patterson is a creative technologist and educator who combines expertise in cognitive science, computer science, and philosophy to advance technology education. A graduate of UBC's Cognitive Systems program, he served as Senior Outreach Facilitator at UBC Geering Up Engineering Outreach, where he specialized in professional development for educators across British Columbia and Canada. His work focuses on helping teachers design and implement technology activities in their classrooms, with particular emphasis on AI education and quantum computing curriculum development. As a professional development instructor, he has contributed to several innovative educational initiatives, including adapting quantum computing content for the EDx platform and developing AI training programs for teachers. Beyond his educational work, he maintains active involvement in full-stack development, creating technical foundations for AI-related projects.
