Ravi Mehta

Ravi Mehta is a Professor of Business Administration and the Associate Head of Business Administration at the Gies College of Business, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Since joining Gies in 2011, Professor Mehta has focused his research on consumer behavior and innovation, exploring how subtle environmental cues influence consumer decisions and creativity. His work has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the MSI Young Scholar Award, reflecting his significant contributions to marketing theory and practice.In addition to his research, Professor Mehta teaches courses such as "Creativity Toolkit I: Changing Perspectives," "Creativity Toolkit II: Creative Collaboration," and "Customer Centric Innovation." He is passionate about fostering a collaborative learning environment that encourages diverse perspectives and creative thinking among students. By integrating real-world applications with academic insights, he prepares his students to tackle complex challenges in business and innovation. Through his teaching and research, Ravi Mehta continues to shape the future of business education and empower the next generation of leaders.
