Delft University of TechnologyRainer Harms serves as Associate Professor at the University of Twente's High Tech Business and Entrepreneurship Cluster, where he chairs the Smart Industry Research Orientation and EIT Entrepreneurship Minor. His academic journey includes a PhD in Business Administration from WWU Münster, where his dissertation on Entrepreneurial Orientation earned runner-up for best dissertation, and a Habilitation from AAU Klagenfurt focusing on new venture creation processes. His research examines technology entrepreneurship, particularly entrepreneurial learning and capability development in new technology-based firms. He has held visiting professorships at prestigious institutions including WU Vienna, UAB Barcelona, and Monash University. Currently serving on the NWO Take-off committee for knowledge transfer and university spinoffs, he contributes to entrepreneurship education through courses like "Entrepreneurship for Engineers" MOOC and the International Entrepreneurship program.
