Racquel Stephens

Dr. Racquel Stephens is an experienced educator with nearly three decades in the field, specializing in virtual education. Over the past 20 years, she has been a pioneer in online learning, having developed online Advanced Placement (AP) classes for the University of California, Santa Cruz's online high school. Currently, she serves as the Coordinator of Online Learning for the Irvine Unified School District in Southern California, where she focuses on enhancing educational access and equity through digital platforms.Dr. Stephens is actively involved in various associations dedicated to online teaching and learning. She recently completed a qualitative research study examining how online learning can improve access to high school courses in Southern California. On Coursera, she teaches several courses, including "Advanced Instructional Strategies in the Virtual Classroom" and "Emerging Trends & Technologies in the Virtual K-12 Classroom," where she shares her insights on effective practices for virtual education.
