R. Balasubramanian

Professor R. Balasubramanian is a distinguished academic leader and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee. With a Ph.D. in Mathematics and Computer Science from IIT Madras, his research interests span a wide range of fields, including computer vision, machine learning, medical imaging, and multimedia security. He has held various prestigious academic positions, including visiting research roles at global institutions such as The University of Queensland, Osaka Metropolitan University, and the National University of Singapore. Throughout his career, Professor Balasubramanian has been actively involved in groundbreaking research and development projects, including AI-driven trading platforms and hyperspectral imaging techniques for seed classification. He is committed to advancing both academic and practical applications in the fields of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and data science.
