Prof. Lena Neij

Prof. Lena Neij is a distinguished Professor and Director at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE) at Lund University. Her research focuses on the dynamics of energy systems, examining governance and policies that promote sustainable development. She specializes in assessing technical change, including the development, introduction, and diffusion of new technologies, as well as policy measures aimed at accelerating these changes. Prof. Neij's interdisciplinary work addresses renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency, sustainable buildings, and sustainable urban development, contributing to a green energy economy. She holds a UNESCO Chair in Education for Sustainable Development and has published extensively in her field.
