Hiremath holds a Master's degree from BITS Pilani and a PhD from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, followed by a post-doctoral research fellowship at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He has navigated a diverse career, starting as an entrepreneur, advancing to key roles in the corporate sector, contributing to research organizations, and eventually transitioning into academia. Dr. Rahul has held leadership positions at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and Eaton Technologies. He has collaborated with several prestigious international organizations, including DFID UK, SDC, the Global Environmental Fund (GEF), and the World Bank, on various research initiatives. Additionally, he was selected for the World Bank’s Young Professional Programme and was chosen as the youngest researcher at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Bangkok, Thailand, to represent India. He has several publications in peer-reviewed journals.
