Professor Dominic Chan is an Associate Professor of Practice in Entrepreneurship at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he also serves as the Associate Director of the EMBA Program and Project Director at the Centre for Entrepreneurship. He is a seasoned entrepreneur, having founded Decisive Consulting Limited and co-founded Dark Horse Investment, which specializes in early-stage technology investments. With a strong background in management consulting, he previously worked with McKinsey & Company and held leadership roles as the co-CEO of a-connect (China) and as the China General Manager for Englishtown.com, an online language training service under the EF Group. Prof. Chan has extensive experience in various technology sectors, including Digital Signal Processing (DSP), integrated communications, mobile applications, e-commerce solutions, and e-learning. He is a sought-after speaker at conferences and seminars and serves as a corporate trainer and executive coach. A recipient of the Queen's Gold Medal for Mathematics from Queen Elizabeth II, he holds BA, MA, and PhD degrees in Digital Signal Processing from the University of Cambridge. Additionally, he is the author of "My Cambridge Days" and is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, with basic proficiency in French and Japanese.
