Prof. Ajay Garg

Professor Garg has been shaping future finance leaders since joining IIM Lucknow in 2007. As a former Dean for Faculty and Research, he played instrumental roles across the institute, overseeing finance, audit, budgeting, academic programmes and talent development. A highly awarded educator, Prof. Garg has received the “Best Finance Elective” accolade for an impressive eight consecutive years (2017–2025), reflecting his ability to simplify complex valuation, restructuring, and reporting concepts. He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles on topics including earnings management, capital structure, corporate governance, and value-creating restructuring strategies.
