Professor Peter Higgins is a leading figure in Outdoor, Environmental, and Sustainability Education at the University of Edinburgh, where he serves as the Director of the UN-recognized center, Learning for Sustainability Scotland. With a background in environmental science and freshwater biology, he has dedicated his career to integrating education with sustainability practices. He chaired the Scottish Government’s Learning for Sustainability Implementation Groups from 2012 to 2016 and has been recognized for his teaching excellence with the university's highest award.
