Pedro Albertos

Pedro Albertos serves as Professor Emeritus at Universitat Politècnica de València, where he has been Full Professor since 1975. His distinguished career includes serving as IFAC President (1999-2002), earning recognition as IFAC Fellow, IFAC Advisor, and IEEE Senior Member. His research focuses on multivariable control, real-time control systems, and non-conventional sampling control systems, particularly examining time delays and multirate sampling patterns. His significant contributions include over 300 scientific papers and co-authoring influential books like "Multivariable Control Systems" and "Feedback and Control for Everyone." His work has garnered over 6,000 citations, demonstrating his substantial impact on control theory and applications. As Editor-in-Chief of RIAI and associate editor of Control Engineering Practice, he continues to shape the field. His expertise has been recognized through Honorary Professorships at Northeastern University (China) and Doctor Honoris Causa degrees from both the University of Oulu (Finland) and Polytechnic of Bucharest (Romania)
