Olakunle Alonge, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He specializes in implementation science and health systems strengthening, with a focus on addressing global health challenges. Alonge has significant experience working on health initiatives in countries such as Afghanistan, Liberia, and Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Ibadan, a Master’s degree in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and a PhD in International Health Systems from Johns Hopkins University. His research portfolio includes projects funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, emphasizing the importance of integrating health policies with community needs to enhance health outcomes.
