Russell Willis Taylor is a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Social Policy & Practice and the former President and CEO of National Arts Strategies, a position she held from 2001 until 2014. With extensive experience in the arts sector, she previously served as Executive Director of the English National Opera and has held various managerial and board roles in both commercial and nonprofit organizations. Taylor has been recognized for her significant contributions to the arts, receiving the Garrett Award for outstanding achievement in the arts in Britain and the International Citation of Merit from the International Society for the Performing Arts.In addition to her teaching role, she is actively involved in numerous advisory boards, including those for the University Musical Society at the University of Michigan and the Salzburg Global Seminar. Her course, "Arts and Culture Strategy," focuses on strategic planning within cultural organizations.
