Marla Geha is a professor of Astronomy and Physics at Yale University, where she focuses on understanding the formation of the smallest known galaxies and their implications for dark matter and cosmology. She earned her B.S. in Applied and Engineering Physics from Cornell University and completed her PhD in Astrophysics at the University of California, Santa Cruz.Dr. Geha has received several prestigious honors, including an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship, a John S. Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Dylan Hixon '88 Prize for teaching excellence in the natural sciences at Yale. She is actively involved in supporting veterans through her role on the executive board of the Warrior Scholar Project and as the director of the Research Experience for Veteran Undergraduate (REVU) program.
