Marius Preda is an Associate Professor at the Institut Mines-Télécom and serves as the Chairman of the 3D Graphics group within the ISO’s Moving Picture Expert Group (MPEG). His expertise extends to contributing to various ISO standards related to 3D graphics, virtual worlds, and augmented reality, for which he has received multiple ISO Certifications of Appreciation. Preda leads a research team focused on areas such as augmented reality, cloud computing, games, and interactive media. He actively disseminates his research findings through journals and international speaking engagements. He teaches a course titled "Getting Started with Augmented Reality," aimed at introducing students to the principles and applications of augmented reality technologies.
