After earning her civil engineering degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and master's in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Hamburg, she has established herself as a regional expert in water and sanitation development. Through her coordination of major initiatives like the Optimal Sanitation Initiative, Rural Water and Sanitation Initiative, and the Latin American and Caribbean Observatory for Water and Sanitation (OLAS), she continues to advance sustainable water infrastructure development while promoting data-driven decision making in the sector
